Be The Friend Who Can Change a Life
Many people who are sexually assaulted do not know who to contact for help and they fear no one will believe them. Most often, if they confide in anyone, they call a friend. But their friends may have no idea how to connect them to the resources they need.
Be the friend who is empowered to help. Carry a "We Believe You" card in your purse or billfold. It's an instant connection to confidential resources to share with someone in a crisis situation. For survivors, knowing someone believes them is the first step to healing and recovery from trauma.
